Carson Toyota Confirms, Toyotas New Campaign Toyota Driving Expectations Aimed To Lower Teen Driving Fatalities

September 21, 2010 – Carson, Calif. – Carson Toyota proud to announce, Toyota has launched a new initiative to reduce teen driving fatalities through their “Toyota Driving Expectations” campaign.

The “Toyota Driving Expectations” campaign will begin in October, and is aimed to reduce teen driving fatalities by offering free advanced teen driving skills programs at select Bass Pro Shop locations.

"We’re delight that Toyota is taking the initiative to not only offer safe vehicles for the roads, but to offer free programs to create safe drivers on the road as well," said Carson Toyota’s General Sales Manager, Marty Brylski. “I believe this campaign will help our consumers greatly,” he said.

Motor vehicle crashes continue to be the leading cause of death for U.S. teenagers, accounting for over 35% of teen fatalities, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In an effort to prepare young drivers with crucial safety knowledge, Toyota Driving Expectations goes beyond what is taught in standard driver education classes, putting teens behind the wheel to face challenging, real-world scenarios in a secure environment.

Interested participants are asked to register online at www.toyotadrivingexpectations.com. A parent or guardian is required to attend the Toyota Driving Expectations program, which provides an opportunity to create an open dialogue about safe driving habits, paving the way for parents and teens to continue improving driving skills at home.
