Carson Toyota Proud To Announce Toyota’s All-New 2011 4Runner
September 7, 2010 – Carson, Calif. – Carson Toyota proud to announce, the all-new fifth-generation 2011 Toyota 4Runner, which has been redesigned and re-engineered for the previous model year.
The 2011 4Runner has unique features from the 2010 models, such as adaptable interior and unique cargo area makes the newest 4Runner smarter, more comfortable, and more versatile than ever. It is available in a variety of configurations and in three models: a well-equipped SR5, top-of-the-line Limited, plus a Trail grade for maximum off-road capability. Optional third-row seats allow for up to seven-person capacity.
Toyota combines rugged body-on-frame construction with suspension technology that yields the kind of ride comfort more often associated with car-based platforms for the 4Runner. It’s also powered by a 4.0-liter V6 that generates 270 horsepower and 278 lb.-ft. of torque.
“The new 4Runner’s design emphasizes a more rugged, powerful stance, combining the 4Runner’s traditional form with progressive styling cues," said Carson Toyota’s General Sales Manager, Marty Brylski. “I believe our consumers will find itthoughtfully equipped with features and systems to create a comfortable travel space for everyday use,” he said.
Drivetrain configurations include rear wheel 4x2, part-time 4x4 and full-time multi-mode 4x4 with a locking center differential. All 4x4 models are equipped with a 4.0-liter V6 teamed to a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission. The 4x2 models can be equipped with either a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine teamed to a four-speed ECT automatic or the 4.0-liter V6 with the five-speed ECT-i automatic.
